- Cindy L. Whitaker was born the daughter of Richard A. & Cora B. Drullinger in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 26, 1946. She departed this life on January 2, 2024 at the age of 77 years, 5 months, and 7 days, after an unexpected brief illness.
Cindy was raised and educated in Tulsa and was a 1964 graduate of Nathan Hale High School. She was a person of many talents, including in her younger years as an accomplished ballet dancer. She attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Tulsa. Cindy was a compassionate and loving person and also an ardent dog lover. Over the many decades she especially cherished the companionship of her dogs: Joe, Hunter, Ceasar, Princess, Ginger I and Ginger II. Cindy had a long and varied career and worked for many years as an administrative assistant in the executive offices of The Williams Companies in downtown Tulsa from whom she retired. At the time of her death, she was employed by TMA Systems. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sharron L. Loeffler.
A devoted sister, daughter, aunt, and companion, Cindy is survived by her SISTER: Carolyn McKinley; and NIECE: Caryn Kersting Scoles of Owasso; NEPHEW: Mike Loeffler & wife, Stacy, of Bristow; her COMPANION of some thirty-five years: Edward Newman of Tulsa;, as well as NUMEROUS cousins, 3 great-nephews, a great niece, & many friends.
