- HAW RIVER - Tony Trollinger, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alamance County on July 18, 1959 to the late John William "J.W." Trollinger, Jr. and Mary Kathleen Phillips Trollinger who survives. He was the husband of 34 years to Linda Freeman Trollinger of the home.
Tony attended Crosslink Community Church. He was a dedicated employee for the City of Burlington, going several years with perfect attendance. He was a strong supporter of Eastern Alamance Athletics. He enjoyed the beach, playing golf, hunting and was an avid softball player. He enjoyed debating politics with Karen Trollinger. He loved his Aunt Donna's M&M cookies. He also loved Langston Cole Trollinger with all his heart.
Tony is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Caleb Trollinger and girlfriend Emily Greeson; mother, Mary Kathleen Trollinger; brother, Greg Trollinger (Karen); brother-in-law, Sammy Freeman (Arlene Ray); and his beloved granddog, "Shadow". He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jordan Cameron Trollinger; father, J.W. Trollinger and two of his late canine companions, "Jason" and "Brandon".
Tony had a loving spirit, a contagious smile and the best bear hugs. He was a selfless man who loved his family, always putting their needs above his own. He was one in a million.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Ken Tilley with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. He will be available for viewing from 11-4 on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
