- James L Harrison, 81 of Springdale passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born December 7, 1942 in Hindsville, Arkansas to Leonard Harrison and Evelyn Trolinger Harrison.
James was a Volunteer Firefighter at the Nob Hill Fire Department for 35 years. He was saved in 1974 and he was called to the ministry as a Preacher in 1995. He retired from Willis Shaw Express after 43 years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew, Sonny Homer.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Verlene Harrison of the home; one son, Michael James Harrison and wife Stormi of Nob Hill; one daughter, Donita Gwen Harrison of Nob Hill; five grandchildren, Paige Harrison of Pea Ridge, Micah Harrison of Nob Hill, Rhylee Scott of Nob Hill and Rhyker Tyner of Nob Hill and Rhyver Tyner of Nob Hill; one brother, Lester Harrison and wife Shirley of Madison County, Arkansas and Darlene Harrison and husband Mark Donaldson of Madison County, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
