- Loa Mae (Trullinger) Foley was born March 13, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska to Earl and Gladys (Leffingwell) Trullinger. Loa grew up in Waterloo, Nebraska where she attended school and enjoyed spending time with her friends.
Loa married John Foley, and to this union, six children were born: Linda, John, Jim, Debra, Susan, and Penny.
Loa was a longtime, faithful member of the Church of Christ in Waterloo, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed baking, making chili, coffee, watching the Bob Ross painting show on TV, and was an avid Cornhusker football fan. Loa loved to garden, and was always happy to spend time in her garden, but her greatest love was for her kids and her grandkids. She had a knack for taking care of everyone, and was happiest when spending time with her family.
Loa passed away suddenly at the Nebraska Methodist Women's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Gladys, and her brothers Keith and wife, Venus Baird and Earl Trullinger, Jr. Loa is survived by daughters: Linda (Bob) Porter of Great Falls, MT, Debra Christie of Omaha, Susan (Russ) Shuey of Valley, NE, and Penny (Randy) Foley of Valley, sons: John (Cheryl) Foley of Chelsea, AL, and Jim (Cheryl)Foley of Fremont, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1great great granddaughter, sister Kay (Gene) Tharp of Fremont, sister-in-law Mary Trullinger of Fremont, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 1 PM Tuesday, 11/27/12, at the funeral home in Elkhorn. Interment Prospect Hill Cemetery, Elkhorn. Visitation 2-8 PM Monday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
