- Jacob William (Jake) Minton Jr. passed from among his loved ones and friends Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born January 11, 1940 in Muncie, Indiana to Jacob and Bernice Minton. Jake married Diann Young August 29, 1958 in Indiana. Jake was the former owner of JM Sales and Pump Service which is now operated by his son. He loved to spend time with family, as well as engaging in hunting and fishing.
Jake is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diann, three sons, Jake Minton III, Dennis (Beth) Minton, and Doug (Brenda) Minton, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, seven sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at Roller Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
