- MADISON - James William "Jim" Hill, age 70, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023. He was born on March 8, 1953, in Madison, Wis., the son of William and Elinor (Wagner) Hill.
Jim graduated from Madison West High School in 1971. He attended Marquette University for his bachelor's degree in philosophy and theology followed by the University of Minnesota where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He later received a master's degree in administrative medicine from UW-Madison.
After graduation, Jim returned to Madison where he practiced dentistry for over 40 years. He found enjoyment in his career through the relationships made with his patients and staff.
Outside of dentistry Jim enjoyed boating, golfing, and traveling. He loved the Madison community and enjoyed serving on several board groups over the years.
Jim is survived by his son, Christopher (Nikki) Hill; daughter, Taylor Hill; three grandchildren, Ryan Hill, Kaden Hill, and Kylie Hill; and former wives, Peggy Hill-Breunig, Anne Pientka, and Rebecca Powell Marx. He was preceded in death by his parents.
