Ruth Evea (Farmer) Thieman, 86, of Pierce City went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Tuesday October 11, 2016 while at Cox South Hospital. She was born in Crisp, Missouri on November 25, 1929; the daughter of the late Berry and Ruby (Crisp) Farmer. She was united in marriage on October 11, 1952 to Roy Otto Thieman; he preceded her in death on March 30, 2014.
She was a telephone operator as a young woman, a member of the Elm Branch Church in Aurora, the Lockwood American Legion Auxiliary and the D.A.V.
Ruth is survived by two sons: Phillip Warren Thieman and his wife Rose of Cassville, John Douglas Thieman and his wife Nora of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters: Susan Diane Drollinger and Pamela Denise Thieman both of Pierce City, Missouri; one brother: Charles Farmer and his wife Bonnie of Lockwood, Missouri, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents: Berry and Ruby, husband: Roy, two brothers: infant, Earl Allen Farmer and Alvin Farmer and his wife Kathleen.
Visitation for Ruth is being held on Sunday October 16, 2016 from 5p-7p at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services are being held on Monday October 17, 2016 at 10:30a at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett, Missouri with Rev. Tony Swillum officiating. Burial will follow services next to her husband Roy at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri.
