      Gas City ? Surrounded by her family, Violet Lutitia Croucher, 87, passed into heaven at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011, in her residence. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 11, 1923 to the late Edward and Maude (Drollinger) Mills. Violet married William H. Croucher on October 12, 1962 and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2005. She lived in Jonesboro and Gas City most of her life. She previously worked at Glass Containers for 11 years and Owens-Illinois Glass Factory for 18 years. She attended Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Gas City and enjoyed painting ceramics. She loved singing, whistling, fishing, dancing, mushroom hunting, and spending time with her family and friends.
      Survivors include children, Billy (Anita) Croucher, Marion, Susie (Allen) Francis, Marion, Monty (Sheila) Croucher, Huntington, Keith Croucher, Sr., Gas City, and Gordon Croucher, Gas City; grandchildren, Steve(Missy), Stacy (Ryan), Shannon (Clinton), John, Keith, Jr. (Brandy), Marissa (Freddy), Kara (Virgil), Keigan, Alicia, Colette (Joey), Amanda (Tristan), Curtis (Kerry), Corey, Lacey, Brody; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Teddy (Sandy) Mills, Gas City, and Tommy (Dotsie) Mills, Gas City; sisters, Miriam Benbow, Gas City, and Toby (James) Younce, Florida.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Croucher; daughter, Sharon Willis; son, Terry Croucher; daughter, Valerie Croucher; great-grandson, Kelbee Croucher; sisters, Kate, Lucille, Ruth, Betty; brothers, Kenny, Fred, and Chuck.
      Visitation will be from 2-6 pm on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Needham-Storey- Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana.
      Funeral Services are at 1 pm on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Needham-Storey- Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with Reverend Nancy Rosinski officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, Indiana.
