- Betty Ann "Totty" (Greenwell) Walden, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Bethel Manor. Betty was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 6, 1938 to the late Robert and Mary (Johnson) Greenwell.
In her younger years, Betty worked at Woolworth Company, K-Mart and the Holiday Inn. She enjoyed many hobbies including painting, crocheting, sewing, knitting and puzzles. Betty knew how to have fun and lighten the mood with her dancing and singing. Her favorite color was purple. Betty made many special memories camping and stilled enjoyed camping at the age of 84. She loved children and was the family babysitter for many years. Betty will be remembered as a kind, loving and caring woman.
Betty is survived by her brothers, William "Sonny" Greenwell of Evansville, IN and David Greenwell of Evansville, IN; her caregiver, Joyce (Greenwell) Feldpausch; and by several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Herbert Walden, Jr.; her parents; sisters, Dorothy Wargel and Wanda Robertson; brothers, Michael Greenwell and Fred Greenwell.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2200 Mesker Park Dr., Evansville, IN with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.
