- I believe Hanss is the probable son of Melchior Drollinger and Anna Margaretha Hardin. (DHD 18 Feb 2016)
It appears that Mergentheim is approx. 80 miles NE of Ellmendingen. I also believe Melchior is the connection to Hanss. Assuming Hanss was an average generation (20 years) younger than Amalia, that would place his birth date probably somewhere between 1620-1630 assuming Amalia's actual birth date was very close to her Baptismal date. Therefore, I believe Hanss (and this is where I am 'parking' him unless there is dissent from you or Grant) is more than likely the last born child of Melchior and Anna Margaretha Hardin, just after Elisabeth (1618-1621). Since Elisabeth and her younger siblings appear to have been born in Dietlingen, I suspect Melchior may have moved for whatever reason to Mergentheim approx. 80 miles away. If so, it was a somewhat temporary move since the children of his marriage to Margaretha Barbara Herter were born in Dietlingen again.
