- ALBERTA G. CRISWELL, MARION - 84, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998 at MedCenter Hospital.
Born Oct. 18, 1914, in Meeker, she was the daughter of Frank W Seiter and Nettie (Miller) Seiter.
On June, 22, 1931, she married Jack H. Criswell in Greenup, Ky.; he died on Jan. 16, 1965, in Marion.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Harpster United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking, and was a resident of Marion County all her life.
She is survived by one son, Mike (Pam) Criswell of LaRue; daughter, Georgia (Leslie) Skidmore, New Bloomington; daughter Dixie Strawser, Big Island; daughter Jeannette (Art) Hawkins, LaRue; one sister, DeEsta Furniss, Marion; seven grandchildren, Kent (Sherrie) Skidmore, Karole (Done) Roth, Jackie (Tom) Ralph, Steve Strawser, Sam Hawkins, Nettie Criswell and Ben (Tammy) Criswell; and nine great-grandchildren, Karie (Craig) Staley, Korie and Katie Wetzel, Ryan and Brandon Skidmore, Jessie and Mikey Hornbeck, Jadrian Ralph and Mary Criswell.
The seven grandchildren will also be pallbearers.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dwight Criswell; one granddaughter, N.; Kaye Skidmore Wetzel; one great-grandson, Tyler Hawkins; two sisters, Ima Dorman and Juanita Tron; and one brother, Floyd Seiter.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday at Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. Sandra Sphar officiating. Burial is in Meeker Cemetery.. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
