- Faye Daliah Wells, 94, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away September 23, 2012 at Liberal Springs in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born May 18, 1918 in Mouser, Oklahoma on the family homestead. She was the seventh of eleven children born to Alfred Clinton and Alice Ann (Trolinder) Mouser. She attended Optima and Hooker schools graduating from Hooker with the class of 1937.
Faye met Millard Wells while working together at the elevator in Mouser. They were united in marriage on August 10, 1950 in Clayton, New Mexico. They enjoyed ten years together until his death on December 19, 1960.
She made her home on the family homestead and later moved to Hooker to help her mother take care of her younger sister, Earline. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Guymon Vision Clinic and enjoyed her job for many years until she retired to care for Earline after the death of their mother in 1980. She was a kind and loving caregiver for many years.
Faye was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Hooker. She was also a member of Mother's Club, Pitch Club, and the Baptist Women's Missionary Union. She enjoyed going to church, playing pitch, and loved visits with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Millard; four brothers, Alfred, Leroy, Ralph and Loren; six sisters, Ozella, Pauline, Alma, Clara, Edna Lee and Earline.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Hooker Cemetery and memorial services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Hooker, Oklahoma with Rev. Jim Roebuck officiating. Arrangements are handled by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Hooker, Oklahoma.
