- COMMERCE Clyde Mable Trolinder, 95, of Dallas died Saturday in Dallas. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Cemetery with Rev. Riley Hamilton officiating.
Mrs. Trolinder was born Oct. 20, 1903, in Hunt County; the daughter of Peter and Cordelia Harlow St. Clair.
She was a longtime resident of Greenville before moving to Dallas seven years ago.
Mrs. Trolinder received her teaching certificate from East Texas Normal College ands taught school for 52 years.
She taught six years in Texas and later joined the Indian service in 1928. She taught on reservagions in Arizona for 27 years.
She retired from the reservation and moved to California and later taught in Nevada for four years before returning to Greenville 1974. Mrs. Trolinder was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Highland Terrace Baptist Church of Greenville.
Surviving are a niece, Glee Varner of Bella Vista, Ark., and two nephews, Virgil St. Clair of Dallas and Morris St. Clair of Sulphur Springs.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian St. Clair and Maud Henderson, and one brother, Walter St. Clair.
Memorials may be made to the Highland Terrace Baptist Church or Stewart Cemetery of Campbell. Pemberton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and memorials.
