- Kathie Joan Owens, age 73, of Oneida, Tennessee, departed this life on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Medical Center in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born March 29, 1947 in Revelo, Kentucky to the late Orville Spradlin and Jeslen Lea Stephens Spradlin Chambers. She was a member of the Heartland Full Gospel Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Linda Sue Morrow; stepson, James Houston Owens; brothers, Steve Spradlin, Junior Spradlin; sisters, Beverly Sue Spradlin and Helen Spradlin; brother-in-law, John Stephens; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Virginia Owens; step-father, Milford Chambers.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. James Jerrold Owens for over 31 years; children: Leasia Cordle (Jeff), Timothy Wayne Strunk, Angie Roseberry (Rex) all of Dalton, Georgia; step-children, Paul Mark Owens (Angie), Anthony Ray Owens (Sheana), all of Dalton, Georgia, and Maranda Clayborn of Ringgold, Georgia; (20) grandchildren and (20) great grandchildren; brothers, Rocky Spradlin, Mark Spradlin; sister, Janice Stephens; sister-in-law, Mary Spradlin; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Due to COVID-19, and in cooperation with the Governor's Executive Order # 22, we ask that attendees maintain appropriate social distancing, observe current Health Guidelines and be considerate of all others in attendance.
Private graveside service will be in the New Light Cemetery in Winfield, Tennessee, with Bro. Melvin Stephens officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
