She attended school in Crowder and McAlester. She was elected the president of her class while attending Key Academy. She enjoyed reading and writing poems. She was a free spirit and enjoyed having fun with all of her friends and family. She attended church at Richville Baptist Church where she was baptized. She died at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Survivors include her parents, Kristy and Leonard Walton, Conroe, Texas; her father, Donald Wayne Shannon, of Blocker; three brothers and two sisters, D.J. Shannon, of McAlester, Brandy Shannon, of McAlester, Te' Clif Walton, of McAlester, Bonnie Walton, Galveston, Texas, and Leonard Walton IV, New Caney, Texas. Also, maternal grandparents, Don and Glenda Webster, of McAlester; paternal grandmother, Nadine Shannon, of Blocker; six aunts, Lisa Duvall, of McAlester, Donna Rockey, of Arpelar, Barbara Turner, of McAlester, Carolyn Horton, of Blocker, Kay Haws, of Crowder, and Thea Hodges, of Mississippi. And, three uncles, Calvin Walton and wife, Mary, of McAlester, Rick Shannon, of Blocker, and Terry Shannon, of Blocker; two nephews, Kevin Joe Wayne Brown and Cleveland Allen Walton, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Pat Webster, and paternal grandfather, Leo Shannon. Pallbearers will be D.J. Shannon, Clifton Walton, John Walton, Michael Cordell, Christopher Haws and Jackson Ormsby. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandy Shannon, Brandon Brown, Frankie Rice, Roy Dale Haws, Marcus Sherwood, Sam Walton and James Walton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Kenny Morrow officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
