- Obituary... Funeral services for Franklin Curtis Craig, who died Sunday morning from influenza and complications, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of Christ, in charge of Rev. Henry Esch, pastor, assisted by Rev M.A.Banker of the Methodist church. Burial was in
Pilot Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were the sons and sons-in-law of the deceased. Singing was furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Miss Orrel Green, Mrs B.C. Pogue, Gail Woodling and Walter Osborn. Mr Craig was born Oct 19,1861 in Blue Grass, Scott County, Iowa. On February 21, 1887 he was united in marriage to Laura Ellen Bailey, who preceded him in death on Oct 7, 1921. To this union nine children were born, all of whom are living with the exception of Curtis. The surviving members of the family are Mr. A.E. Hallcock, Mrs Anna Vick of Denver, Colorado; also survive s. With the exception of two years, Mr Craig lived on what is known as the Franklin Curtis Craig farm for the last 52 years.

Mrs Anna McNully and daughter Doris, of Morton Mills, Iowa; Mr and Mrs Edwin Bailey, Mr and Mrs Edward Bailey, Mr and Mrs Gene Bailey, Mr and Mrs Russell Bailey, George Bailey and da ughter Frances, Willis Bailey, Mrs Orville Martin and Mrs Will Young all of Red Oak, Iowa.
