- Kennith Ivan Trolinder died peacefully at the age of 88, in his American Canyon home of 60 years on the morning of January 25, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. Kennith was born on September 15, 1933, in Brownfield, TX to Jerney T. Trolinder and Dellamay "Luvee" Dearing. Kennith and his family moved to Vallejo, CA in 1940 where he attended Vallejo Junior and Senior High School, establishing himself early on as that quick-witted guy that made friends easily. In 1953 Kennith married Florence M. Rudd and had four children. As a young man, he proudly served in the United States Army as a Unit Supply Specialist and Heavy Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War. He was stationed in Korea from 1953 to 1954, earning the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1955. His Korean War hat was his favorite to wear, always provoking a story to share. In 1971, Kennith remarried to Pauline Martel, his wife of 49 years. His career with the UFCW spanned over five decades with his retirement in 1993 from Lucky's Stores. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, voracious reader of cowboy books, loved his Cadillac, banana pudding, ate strawberry ice cream every night and always had a one-liner ready for a laugh. Most of all, he loved camping whether it be trekking across the United States in his R.V. or at family reunions in Texas or at the Delta where you could find him teaching his grandkids to fish. He was a long-time member in the Loyal Order of Moose and part owner of the Napa Valley Bears Football Club, among other endeavors. Kennith is survived by his children, Cheryl (David) Perts, Michael (Becki) Trolinder, Tanya (Jeff Kutzer) Berry, Mark (Carol Richwine) Trolinder; six grandchildren, Zachery (Yvette Espinoza) Perts, Alexandra Perts, Hayley (Paul) Riley, Amanda (Matt) Sandquist, Tiffany Berry, Brittany (Hector) Mendoza; three great-grandchildren, Jordan and Rowan Riley and Levi Sandquist; brother, Emmitt Trolinder; stepchildren, Ruby Garcia, Janey, Michael and John Ricker. In addition, he is survived by 25 stepgrandchildren, as well as many step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins in which his memory will live on. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jerney and Luvee Trolinder; brothers, Levert, Steve, Printess and Wayland Trolinder; sister, Navella Jones; spouses, Florence Hitchiner and Pauline Trolinder; and stepson, Timothy Ricker. Kennith will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon on February 18 in a private service. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date. Our heartfelt thanks and deepest gratitude to Ms. Stacey Sullivan, his caretaker of eight years, and Suncrest Hospice for their kindness, patience and loving care of our Dad and Grandpa.
