- CLARKS -- Richard L. Johnson, 83, of Clarks, died at Long Term Care,in Central City, on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Chapelof Solt Funeral Home, in Central City, with Rev. Valjean Warmanofficiating.
Visitation will be Monday, May 6, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Interment is in the Bureau Cemetery by Pierce Chapel, near Clarks,with full military honors.

Richard was born on May 11, 1929, in Clarks, to Linord and Doris(Britton) Johnson. Richard graduated from Clarks High School in 1947,served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953, and then returnedto farm in the Clarks area. On September 19, 1954, Richard was unitedin marriage to Lorene I. Peters in Central City.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Greg Johnson, ofLone Pine, Calif., Gwen and Dave Zegar, of Grand Island, and GaelynJohnson, of Hastings; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;two sisters, Florence Kring, of Hastings, and LaRhue Beck, of Clarks;and special friend, Anne Klone, of Central City.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorene; andson, Glen "Charlie" Johnson.
