  	Luelabell Portwood, 93, of Sheldon, passed away Saturday (Sept. 22, 2012) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka. Mrs. Portwood was a factory worker at Western Condenser Co. and Littlefuse Inc. in Watseka. She was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Hoopeston, the daughter of Ovela and Burness Drollinger Ping. Her husband, George Portwood, whom she married in Danville, passed away Sept. 8, 1982.They were married by the justice of the peace. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and quilting. Surviving are one son, Bill Portwood, of Sheldon; three grandchildren, Tim Portwood, Mark Portwood and Amy Portwood; five great-grandchildren, Ashlen, Alex, Alaina, Adin and Page Portwood; one great-grandchild, Airabella DavenPort; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Lucille Ping, of Watseka; one sister, Florince Nimz, of Watseka; and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Cleta Portwood. Burial will follow in Iroquois Memorial Park, Watseka. Memorials in her name may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
