Charles E Cheary Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the Franklin & Downs-Colonial Chapel for Charles Edgar Cheary 74 who died Saturday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park A native of Arkansas Cheary had lived in Modesto for 40 years He was a retired employee of Scenic General Hospital where he worked for 20 years and a member of the Bible Way Church Survivors include his wife Edna Mae Cheary of Modesto: his children Curtis and Delbert Cheary of Modesto Bob Cheary of Lodi Ricky R Cheary of Oildale and Uldean Peck Zona Gardiner Carolyn Makinson Wilma Moorefield and Bonnie Grimes all of Oregon his step-children Roy and Jimmy Trollinger of Modesto Johnny Trollinger of Ceres and Ann A Worgin and Linda L Sim of Oregon brothers and sisters including Wesley Cheary of Waterford Alvis Cheary of Bakersfield
