10003 | I15688 | Drollinger | Henry | 15 Oct 1775 | Aft 1850 | 0 | We know Peter Drollinger of Franconia (now Philadelphia) spelled his name as Drollinger. His son Andreas or Andrew was a Drollinger who was variously was recorded as Trollinger and signed his name to the probate of Peter record as Trollinger. His marriage record was as Drollinger. Andrew's children found in the records of St Michael's Evangelical Luthern Church Germantown (also now part of Philadelphia) went to spelling the surname drollinger, Trollinger and Trullinger. This is confusing to say the least and future researchers need to be aware of this spelling quirk |

10004 | I1183 | Drollinger | Henry | 12 Feb 1796 | 13 Mar 1877 | 0 | Nancy Catherine was the daughter of William Brown Drollinger (and Catherine Ann Isely; Wm B Drollinger maried four times: #2- Mary McAllister, #3-Nancy Howard, and #4 - unknown to Mrs. Weddington.) Nancy was the granddaughter of Henry Drollinger (m. Nancy Brown), who was the son of Phillip Drollinger (m. Hannah Kidd). According to Mrs. Weddington, records show Nancy Catherine sometimes as just Nancy and at other times, she was listed as Catherine. Thanks again for the information and the rapid response, Marion Stoup Russell Today, I found your September 12, 1996 family-search listing for Drollinger - Trollinger - Trullinger. Some years ago (1979), I corresponded briefly with Mrs. Clyde A. Weddington of Peoria, Ill. She was the granddaughter of Mary Jane Drollinger, who was the daughter of William B. Drollinger and Catherine Ann Isely. Mrs. Weddington wrote that two of my ancestors were married to Drollingers: Cathrine Ann Stoup (married Henry Drollinger, Jr and Andrew Jackson Stoup (married Nancy Catherine Drollinger). Mrs. Weddington indicated that Andrew J.'s father died 9/18/78 and was buried in OakGrove Cemetery in Covington. I am seeking information on the senior Andrew Stoup and his parents. Should you have any information, I would like to hear from you. If you are interested in copies of Mrs. Weddington's letters, I would be happy to send them. Marion Russell - Downey, Ca. 10006 | I1183 | Drollinger | Henry | 12 Feb 1796 | 13 Mar 1877 | 0 | Hibbs Cemetery Fountain County, Indiana, USA Once there was a stone but it has disappeared over the years. On findagrave Lesa Epperson reports there is no stone. She also gives his birth place as Bedford county which is in error. Research in Bedford County by Bob Soli reveals the father Philipp was there in the 1790 census but in the tax list for 1793 he was gone the previous year. Given that Henry was born in 1796 it is very unlikely he was born in Bedford County Pa but rather in Butler County Ohio. No Philip on the 1789 tax lists. Philip is listed on the 1791 tax list, the 1792 list was not there, and on the tax list dated February, 1793, Philip is shown as having left sometime in the previous year. Bob Soli Gordon L.
