He believes it may have been sometime in the late 1960s or so that she showed him a lot of Drollinger genealogy research she had done which if he remembered correctly, dated back to Adam Drollinger! He says that his Aunt Viola and Uncle Tony are still living and he thinks they are still living in Bakersfield, CA. He also told me that they had two children, one boy and a girl. Drollinger, dated 13 Feb 2013 regarding the early deaths of his siblings: Well, since I was not on the scene yet, I can only tell you what I have been told which is "just" hearsay, ha, ha! I understand Burl only lived for an hour after birth, and Genevieve died of pneumonia at 19 months old. I remember well my Mother telling me about this and how hard it was especially to lose Genevieve at such a young age. They also lost another son Jackie Blaine to infectious hepatitis (yellow jaundice as it was called then). He was 4 years and 5 months old when he died. The doctor had told my Mother to make sure he had complete bed rest so the liver could rejuvenate itself from the disease. He loved to be with my Dad in the field, so when Mother wasn't looking he would sneak out to be with my Dad. Hence, due to lack of needed rest, he died. The following is an excerpt from an email response I (David H. Drollinger) received 24 Sep 2013 from Beverly Jean Carpenter-Hansen: Mom did have some siblings that did die young though. If I remember right Burl was premature but not sure. Genevieve was only about 18 months when she died but I don't know what from.....then Jackie became ill and died when he was about 4 and 1/2 from a disease but I don't remember right now what disease. I remember Mom saying he was really jaundice and something about the liver and that Uncle Larry started showing the same symptoms (Larry was younger than Jackie). They did an autopsy on Jackie to find out what it was and was able to treat Larry so he didn't die. Death certificate number 124326 |

10136 | I17062 | Drollinger | Jacob | 6 Sep 1761 | 16 Feb 1817 | 0 | Because Jacob is of an appropriate age and was born in Tiefenbronn, Gordon L. Drollinger and I agree that he is the likely son of Mathias Drollinger and Anna Maria Holzhauer. Of course this educated speculation is subject to change providing a preponderance of evidence suggests otherwise. Keep in mind that Tiefenbronn is a very small village today and had to have been even much smaller back in the mid-1700s. Perhaps as little as a few dozen people may have lived there in the mid-1700s. (David H. Drollinger 26 Jan 2021) Research of the late Sighard Drollinger of Karlsruhe. |

10139 | I16717 | Drollinger | Jacob | 19 Dec 1771 | 18 Nov 1831 | 0 | We know Peter Drollinger of Franconia (now Philadelphia) spelled his name as Drollinger. His son Andreas or Andrew was a Drollinger who was variously was recorded as Trollinger and signed his name to the probate of Peter record as Trollinger. His marriage record was as Drollinger. Andrew's children found in the records of St Michael's Evangelical Luthern Church Germantown (also now part of Philadelphia) went to spelling the surname drollinger, Trollinger and Trullinger. This is confusing to say the least and future researchers need to be aware of this spelling quirk | tree1 |

10143 | I2240 | Drollinger | Jacob | 9 Nov 1791 | 31 Mar 1851 | 0 | History of Butler County, 1886 mentions "...Drollinger carried on (Nathan) Skeer's tavern until it burned down, when he erected a new building." Died In Hannahstown, on the 31st ult., Mr Jacob Drollinger aged 50 years; his death was caused by burns received at the conflagration of his nephew, Gustav Drollinger's premises. Butler County Whig Wed April 9, 1851 Uncle Jacob perished as a result of the fire which burned down the first tavern in the County. He is probably buried in nearby St Luke's graveyard although there was no stone. The sexton's records are long lost so there is no way to confirm a burial. Jacob either went or was sent by his nephew to the County Court house in 1847 to take the oath of intention for citizenship. He was listed as head of family in the 1850 but owned no real estate. 10144 | I1181 | Drollinger | Jacob | 10 Aug 1792 | 6 Sep 1876 | 0 | Also known as Jacob Drullinger, originally his wife was Nancy Barkalow per phone call from Hamilton County Ohio Gen Soc secretary. However on examination of the marriage entry original the wife's name was Jane Martin. I am guessing that Jane's middle name was Rebecca but no evidence to support this found to date. The spelling errors make this a very hard man to trace and coupled with the loss of early records make it a nightmare. GLD 2012 I am now most convinced that Jacob Drollinger (1792-1876 ) married to Ann Mason are the very probable parents of William (born abt 1816 OH) for the following reasons: 1) The 1850 Census lists Ohio as the birthplace of William. Jacob Drollinger was living in Butler County, Ohio at the time. 2) One of Jacob's son, Ambrose (b 1817) went by the 'Drullinger' spelling. 3) William's birth date of 1816 could easily place him as the first child of Jacob and Ann who were married in 1815. 4) William could easily be named after Jacob's younger brother, William who died as an infant. 5) William's only known daughter was named Nancy which means she could have been named after his presumed mother, Nancy. 6) Jacob died in Montgomery County, IN. William's son was born in adjacent Fountain County, IN proving they lived close to each other in IN. (David H. Drollinger 21 Apr 2012) Because Walter was married in the same county as the one Jacob Drollinger died in during a time frame that would be compatible with making him eligible as a child of theirs, I suspect Walter L. Drollinger could be the probable son of Jacob and Sarah Drollinger. If this proves to be correct, then his record needs to be connected to theirs.
