8397 | Miss Mildred Trollinger and W. B. Cheek Married Miss Mildred Trollinger and W. B. Cheek Married At the home of Mrs. Boyd R. Trollinger, Guthrie street, Saturday evening, 6 o'clock, a beautiful wedding took place, when her daughter, Miss Mildred Trollinger, became the bride of W.B. Cheek, also of Burlington. The TrollLnger home Teas decorated throughout with garden flowers. The room in which the vows were taken was attractively arranged with a setting of ferns and flowers, candles in candelabra. Tall baskets of gladiolas were arranged on either side of the mantle, where an improvised altar of trailing clematis and other flowers were used. The vows were spoken before Dr. VI. K. McGee, pastor of the Hocutt Memorial Babtist church here. He used the beautiful ring ceremony. To the wedding music, which played by Mrs. Harlan McPhersanof Wilson, the bridge and groom entered together. There were no attendants. The bridge was becomingly dressed in a dark green traveling frock of silk kongo crepe, with trimmings of mink tails and brown accessories. Her shoulder corsage was of Talisman roses and lilies of the valley. During the ceremony "To a wild Rose" was softly played. Immediately after the ceremony, the couple left for a week's stay at Asheville. Upon their return they will make their home at Burlington, where Mr. Cheek is associated with Barnwell brothers.
