Lovers Killed By Lightning
Lovers Killed By Lightning
Ashville N.C. Aug. 7. Intelligence has reached here of a fatal accident by lightning Sunday night at Catawba on the Western North Carolina road. James Trollinger, aged twenty-one and Miss Addie Reed, aged eighteen, were waiting in the latter's house for the thunder storm to pass over when lightning struck the house and running down the chimney instantly instantly killed both of them, besides badly shocking others in the room. The shoes were torn entirely off Miss Reed's feet and her clothing was set on fire. Both Trollinger and Miss Reed were prominent and popular in social circles.
