8453 | Mrs. James F. Trollinger 30th Birthday Seisholtzville In honor of the birthday anniversary of Mr. James F. Trollinger 122 friend of her gathered at their home at Seisholtzville on Saturday evening, helpirv? to celebrate her 30th birthday. At 9 o'clock, when Mr. and Mrs. Trollinger returned home after making an auto trip to Alburtis they were confronted with a table heavily loaded down with a large number of cakes, fruit, etc. A mammoth cake graced the middle of the table, containing 30 candles representing her age. She received many presents including stockings, handkerchiefs, dresses and some furniture. While they were away during the early part of the evening, R. J. Ritter, the furniture dealer, of Macungle, drove up, delivered and set up a new davenport suite 6 parlor chairs and a fine hanging lamp which was presented by her husband. All kinds of games were played and music was furnished on a Columbia grafonola after all had partaken of those good things to eat. |

Mrs. Henry Lewis Trollinger has the honour of announcing the marriage of her daughter Mary Elizabeth to Mr. Hubert W Steger on Saturday the twelfth of September One Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-Two at Pulaski Virginia. This unites two of the oldest families in Southwest Virginia both being residents of Pulaski. The Rev D. Trigg James of the First Methodist Church officiated. Mrs Steger is the daughter of Mrs Henry Lewis Trolinger and the late Mr. Trollinger. Mr. Steger is president and treasurer of the Paul Knitting Mills and president of the Pulaski Trust Company Mr and Mrs. Steger on their return from a wedding trip will be at home at 520 North Washington Avenue after October 10th. |

8463 | Mrs. Trollinger Passes Away ONE OF THE MOST BE LOVED WOMEN IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA AT HER HOME AT PULASKI Mrs James T Trollinger of Pulaski Va who was prominently known among the Methodists of Holston conference died at her home at Pulaski Va on the 21st Inst Her death was due to paralysis she having been stricken a few weeks ago Mrs Trollinger was 61 years of age. She survived by her husband a prominent business man of Pulaski and one son Henry L Trollinger and one daughter Mrs Walter C Price The funeral was conducted from the Methodist church near Pulaski the services being conducted by Dr Crow of Pulaski assisted by the Rev J T Frazier Dr W H Price and the Rev J S W Neal. Mrs Trollinger was one of the most beloved women in Southwest Virginia. She was prominent in both church and social affairs in her community and her death is deeply mourned by all who knew her. |

8471 | Myrtle Trollinger Dead Little Myrtle Trollinger, daughter of J. C. Trollinger and wife, died at the home of her aunt near Palo Pinto Monday night the result of a severe case of grip. She was laid at rest yesterday at Mt. Olivet, the Rev. A. L. Houston, of Clinton, delivering the last sad rites over her remains. Myrtle was but seven years old and was the idol her parents. Her sickness was of short duration, but death had marked her as his own, and the frail little body could not withstand the strain put upon it. |

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in the Catawba Baptist church, Catawba, N. C., for John R. Trollinger, 56, manager of Western Union telegraphers at The Washington Post, who died Sunday at Emergency hospital after a long illness. A native of Catawba, Mr. Trollinger was the son of the late Jacobi H. Trollinger and Mrs. Eunice Trollinger. He was educated in the Catawba schools and moved to Washington about 1915 when he started to work for Western Union as a telegrapher. Mr. Trollinger was a Mason and a member of the Commercial Telegraphers Union Local 24, A. F. L. He is survived by a sister. Mrs. Nannie Harrell of Mooresville, N. C., and a brother, Henderson G. Trollinger of Salisbury, N. C. |
