14605 Burlington, NC - Peggy Ann White Trollinger, age 89, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023.

A native of Kinston, North Carolina, Peggy was born on July 4, 1933, to the late Ralph Thomas White and Mildred Stanford White.

Peggy graduated from Wheat Swamp High School in Kinston, NC and earned her bachelor's degree from Women's College (now known as UNCG). As a young woman Peggy's passion was teaching children, as a schoolteacher at EM Holt Elementary School and a Sunday schoolteacher for many years at The First Presbyterian Church Burlington. Peggy later became a tax preparer for H&R Block. She was active in various service organizations over the years including Burlington Junior Women's Club and Burlington Women's Club.

Peggy's favorite role was being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, crafting and was also a sports enthusiast. She had a great sense of pride for her humble beginnings growing up on a tobacco farm in Eastern NC - which she referred to as "God's Country". But her favorite places were the beaches of NC and the SC coast. She was well known for her dry sense of humor and communicated that regularly with her family, friends, and neighbors. She leaves behind nothing but good memories.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph William Trollinger of Burlington, NC. Survivors are her brother Ralph Thomas "Tom" White Jr (Sara) of Pfafftown; her children, Joseph William Trollinger Jr, (Dana) of Burlington, and Ann Elizabeth Trollinger of Graham; granddaughter Julie Ann Trollinger of Durham; nephew Ralph Thomas "Tommy" White III of Boone, niece Lisa White Sigmon (Greg) of Clemmons; great nieces Heather and Amy Sigmon of Clemmons.

The family will hold a private graveside ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations could be made to The Hospice Home of Burlington, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington NC 27215.
