256 | John CORSE Beckwith, H. W. History of Fountain County, Indiana. Chicago: HH Hill, 1881, p. 80. John CORSE had already been mentioned in connection with his office as sheriff of the county. He came to the county in the spring of 1824, and built the first mill in Van Buren Township. The neighbors for miles around assisted in building the mill, and Mr. Corse agred that the one who did the most work on the mill should have the first grist ground on it. Mr. Joseph GLASCOCK was the lucky man. All who helped in building the mill were paid for their work in grinding their corn. Mr. Corse, is said by one who knew him, to have been "a quiet, just and honorable man." He died in 1843. | Corse, John NMN (I13023)

259 | Jordyn and Ben met at a party at Ben's house last year. She was getting ready to leave and go back to her apartment and at the last minute her friend introduced her to one of the cute hosts of the party. Thanks to that last minute introduction, Ben and Jordyn were sealed in the Logan Temple for time and all eternity. They exited the temple to see the happy faces of their friends and family. This family was hilarious and everybody worked together to get all the family pictures taken as quickly as possible. The party headed over to the Birch Creek Golf Course to continue the rest of the day. An amazing meal was provided by Off-Premise Catering. Friends and parents of the bride and groom shared fun stories and toasts. Lots of family members came to wish them a happy wedding day. I loved getting to meet the people in their family and there were lots of little babies around to photograph. I'm so thrilled to introduce Mr. and Mrs. Drollinger to the blog!! | Drollinger, Benjamin Robert "Ben" (I38949)

260 | Joseph's middle name may be John after his father. He even named his first son John. The following is further evidence in support of Joseph's (1822-1894) full birth name: It appears his birth name was probably Joseph John Trollinger. Reference the newspaper article titled, 'Adam Trollinger Was The Forefather Of Trollingers In The Piedmont Area' under the headline, 'IN YEARS GONE BY' that appeared in the C-Section Page One of The Daily Times-News (of Burlington, North Carolina) published 14 August 1959 and the following excerpt that reads, "Although General Benjamin Trollinger and his brother John, lost their hotel, and later their cotton mill, the general and his brother John's son, William, were pioneer railroad builders of Alamance County. William also helped his father and uncle Benjamin Trollinger make brick for buttress work of bridges over Haw River, Back Creek and Eno River." Regarding Joseph's nickname of "Josie": Reference his son, James Henry Trollinger Sr's death certificate where his wife, "Roxie", was the informant who supplied additional information including the name of James' father as 'Josie Trollinger'. If Josie was in fact his nickname, one would assume that his daughter-in-law - "Roxie" in this case - would know that. | Trollinger, Joseph John (I906)

265 | Karl Friedrich von Frank Karl Friedrich von Frank (born July 28, 1894 in Vienna , ? July 18, 1975 in Ferschnitz ; also: Karl Friedrich von Frank zu Döfering ) was an Austrian private scholar in the fields of history , genealogy and heraldry as well as landowner. After the Second World War, he devoted himself exclusively to genealogy and heraldry, the many inquiries and his publications, as well as his possessions. He died on July 18, 1975 ten days before his 81st birthday at Senftenegg Castle near Ferschnitz in Lower Austria, where he was also buried in the chapel. With all of this as back ground Clella Ruth Drollinger sent me a typewritten letter between Baron von Frank and Mrs. Edna M.O. Drollinger RFD #1Box 48, Roosevelt Utah U.S.A. dated Dec 1 1952 ... It was in 1930/31 that Major Ziba L. Drollinger Fort Benjamin Harrison Ind. put queries concerning this family before me, but the matter was not concluded. I don't know what became of him and never heard of him again. He especially wanted to secure a very rare book for him. ... "Poems and other adjoined pieces of Mr. Carl (Karl) Friedrich Drollinger deceased Privy Councilor and secret archivist to the Prince of Baden - Durlach and also a Commemoration speech on him." by J.J. Spreng, Frankfurt 1745. When I finally secured the book, my letter to Major came back unclaimed. He must have changed address. Thus the book is still in my library. This famous Drollinger was born in Durlach, Baden. He was no direct ancestor of your husband, but obviously belonged to the same clan in Baden. I may mention, that I am living in the Soviet-zone of Austria, where all the mail is censored. (This letter like all my mail for abroad is going to be mailed in the West, of course) ... | Drollinger, LTC Ziba Lloyd (I2958)

276 | Loretta Trollinger Paid Her Blessings Forward Spreading Good News, Fall 2014 Bill Overby, Director of Trust & Endowment Development 11/19/2014 - It was a hot day in September of 1991 that we met Loretta Trollinger for the first time. She had been referred to Baptist Foundation Executive Director Edwin Coates by a sister Baptist institution, and so Edwin and Bill Overby traveled to Catawba, NC to visit her home in this rural community. To access the home, we had to travel a dirt path through a cemetery, drive an overgrown wooded farm road for a quarter mile, then reach an open area where the family farmhouse stood. The home was roughly 100 years old, appeared to have never been painted and leaned in a couple of different directions. The only plumbing was a well line that entered and stopped at the kitchen sink. Electricity was very poor and a typical room consisted of a bare bulb hanging down with extension cords extending across the ceiling. Our initial reaction was to incorrectly assess whether the occupants would possibly be in need of the services of the NC Baptist Foundation. We were warmly and graciously greeted at the front door by 68-year-old Loretta Trollinger, the youngest of three, never-married siblings. Her brother Trollie was 79 and lived in the home with Loretta. Sister Eunice was 83 and lived in a federally subsidized apartment in Statesville. All three were happy and lived on social security income of about $400 a month each. The family farm consisted of two parcels, the home place of about 55 acres and a second parcel of about 39 acres located across the highway. Assets beyond this were almost nonexistent. What Loretta had, though, was a warm heart, a great love for the Lord, a desire to help her family and the realization that she wanted all she had to support Christian ministry at her death. Although she had never seen the movie Pay it Forward, she had a great desire to pay her blessings forward to help others that were not as blessed as she was. At the Trollingers' request, the 39 acre parcel was gifted into a trust that would pay them income for their lives and then support Christian ministries on a permanent basis. Instead of having to pay property taxes, they then had income beyond what they ever expected. At the death of Trollie and Eunice, Loretta inherited the siblings' shares of the home place and realized that she needed a Will to complete her plans of paying it forward. She got everything in place just like she wanted, and then in 1999 went to be with her Lord. Fast forward to 2014. The Trollingers' two endowments are paying out almost $20,000 in income this year to churches for outreach, to mission's organizations at home and abroad, to ministries serving poor retired pastors and to a college for needy Divinity School students. Loretta's dream to be able to pay her blessings forward so that others might know the love of Christ, and even have some opportunities that she never had, will continue until the Lord returns. | Trollinger, Katherine Loreta (I21343)

294 | My name is Tristan Druelinger. I am studying German Language and Literature and Foreign Language Education at St. Louis University. I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee but grew up in a suburb of Chicago. I moved to the St. Louis area two years ago. I just got back from spending half a year in Heidelberg, Germany. During High School, I also participated in a summer exchange program and lived with a family in Nuremberg, Germany. I have always had a passion for the German language and specifically for teaching it. I am very happy to be your child's German teacher! I believe that the main goal of learning any foreign language is to be able to communicate effectively in that language. It is because of this, that I try to get students creating and speaking as early as possible. From the beginning, students will be using their German in activities with partners in the classroom (creating dialogues, information gap exercises, etc). The focus of this course is to I try to bring in a more natural approach to learning grammar as well as learning in the book. I believe it is important not only for students to know what to do on paper, but also to know how to use the grammar they are learning in everyday situations. At the same time though, it is important that they know what they are doing grammatically and why. A big part of the class will be using the vocabulary and grammatical structures learned in class in activities. These activities will be specifically created to use the vocabulary and the grammar the students are learning at that time the most. I also love the German virtue of organization. That is why I am asking that you purchase a small notebook for your student. This notebook will be where they keep all of their vocabulary words. We will all enter the vocabulary words for each chapter into the book together. The purpose of doing it this way, as opposed to vocabulary lists is that the vocabulary book allows us to keep all of the words in one place. There is no chance of one of the lists going missing. It also allows us to add other words when we encounter them as we go throughout our day. It might even be something your child would choose to use in later courses. | Druelinger, Tristan (I26596)
