| 45809 | SUZANNE "ANNE" DROLLINGER Smith Funeral Home LTD & Crematory On July 21, 2020 our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Suzanne "Anne" Drollinger returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father and was greeted by her beloved husband Marty. Anne was still young at heart at the age of 88. She was born on February 7, 1932 in Sunnyside, WA the daughter of Effie (Beans) "Grandma Tupper" and Robert Kollmar. Anne received her education in Sunnyside, WA. On May 1, 1948 she married the love of her life Martin "Marty" Drollinger in Sunnyside, WA. The Drollinger Family established Valley Ready Mix Concrete Company in 1947 and Anne helped in the office doing secretarial work besides raising their three sons, Terry, Mike and Mark. Anne loved all holidays, especially Christmas, the Christmas village which she made with her children, was placed with care and was cherished ever year. Anne would look forward to her son Mark and daughter-in-law Trish, to set up the family Christmas tree and help decorate for the season; she also spent many hours shopping for the perfect gifts. Anne enjoyed baking, cooking and was known for her legendary Almond Roca, which she shared during the Christmas Season with many friends. Anne loved when her son Mike, would bring her fresh Apples from his orchard, then together with son Terry they would make Applesauce for the following year. Anne was a very active and devoted member of the Bethany Community Church, serving as Deacon, helping with memorial dinners, Vacation Bible School, Jolly Juniors, member of the Bell Choir. She served as the Financial Secretary for forty-four years until 2015 when her good friend Mike Bren awarded her with a Gold Offering Plate. Mike Bren and Anne also shared the love of Gonzaga Basketball. Anne is what you would consider a Super Fan, she had their schedule, day, time and the channel set for each game and knew each player by name and number. Anne also was a member of the Lower Valley Golf Course (Black Rock Creek) Women's Nine Hole Club, Garden Club and Bridge Clubs. She absolutely loved her quail collection, doing puzzles, playing dominos and playing the organ and piano. The Drollinger Family shared a home in Sun River, OR with Business Associates, so during the summer Anne with her family would enjoy golfing and bike rides with her grandchildren. During the winter months snow skiing was enjoyed at Sun Valley and White Pass Ski Resorts. Anne is survived by her pride and joy, her sons and their families which includes, Terry Drollinger, Mike Drollinger (Norma) and Mark Drollinger (Trish) all of Grandview, WA. Grandchildren, Drew Drollinger (Taryn) of West Linn, OR, Jeramie Drollinger of Mount Lake Terrace, WA, Dacia Drollinger of Kennewick, WA and Keala Warren (Kohner) of Spokane, WA and many nieces, nephews and two canine companions Shaggy and Doogie. Anne is also survived by extended family Cameron Grow (Lori) and family of Pullman, WA, Chris Grow of Grandview, WA, David Foster (Karie) of American Fork, Utah and Morgan Swarthout (Thyron) of Bonney Lake, WA., Jose and Alicia Meza and their family, in which the Drollinger family will be forever grateful for all the love, care, time and prayers devoted to our mother, Anne, over the years by their precious family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Effie "Grandma Tupper" and Robert Kollmar, beloved husband Martin "Marty" Drollinger, two brothers Bruce and Walter Kollmar and last but not least her dog, Scruffy. Viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from Noon until 4:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in the First Presbyterian Church in Sweetwater with The Rev. Howell Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sweetwater under the care and direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Bill was born on February 1, 1918 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He married Maxine Trullinger on May 7, 1941 in Maryville, Missouri. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He lived in Sweetwater from 1941 to 1959 and again from 1963 until his death. He was an Independent Agent for 36 years. He was an Eagle Scout and a former Scout Master. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of W. W. II. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and past president of Abilene Association of C.L.U. He was past president of Sweetwater Rotary Club, past president of Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce. In 1994 he was selected as Sweetwater's Outstanding Citizen of the year. He was a founding and chartered member of the Sweetwater Country Club. He was manager of Colonial Poultry Farms in Sweetwater from 1941 to 1959 and manager of Colonial Poultry Farms in Cullman, Alabama from 1959 to 1963. He was in the commercial egg business in Sweetwater from 1963 to 1967. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Maxine on September 1, 2000, and a sister, Idabel Rasmussen. Bill is survived by: a son, William E. "Bill" Rice and wife, Edna of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Karen Shawver and husband, Paul, of Amarillo, Texas and Lou Ann Cox and husband, Terry, also of Amarillo, Texas; 9 grandchildren, Michelle Rice, William Rice, Russell Rice, Byron Smith, Darci Smith, Benjamin Shawver, Sara Cox, John Cox and Paula Guidry; and 3 great grandchildren. Born in Corning, Mo., she came to Tacoma in 1951 from Bremerton. She had been bookkeeper for 10 years at the Peoples National Bank in Bremerton. For the past year she was manager of the Volk Apartments. Mrs. Zweig was a member of the St. Andrews chapter No. 41 OES of Grand Island, Neb., and the Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Terry Druliner of Bremerton; two brothers, Len H. Thieman of Crocker, MO., and O. W. Means of North Platte, Neb., and her stepfather, O. D. Means of Shelton, Neb. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Buckley King chapel, with the Rev. Frank E. Brown and Vida Chapter OES, officiating. She attended and graduated from Ewing High School in Trenton, New Jersey, with the class of 1971. Following her graduation, Pamela began working at different retail stores. Pamela and her parents moved back to McCook, where she met her future husband. On May 31, 1980, Pamela was united in marriage to Ronald L. Foight in Oberlin, Kansas, and this union was blessed with two children: Tamara and Joshua. The family made their home in Danbury, Nebraska, for 29 years where Pamela focused on raising her children and family. In 2011, the family began to make their home in Beaver City. Pamela was baptized on May 15, 1987 and was a member of the McCook Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved her pets. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Otto and Ruby Stinnette and Clarence and Polly Bales; her father, Floyd Bales; mother and step-father, Norma Jean Doyle and Ray Doyle; her sister, Robin Seabrook; and brother, Randy Bales. Pamela leaves to celebrate her life; her husband of 42 years, Ronald Foight of Minden; her two children: Tamara Drullinger and her husband, Richard of Smith Center, Kansas; and Joshua Foight of Lincoln, Nebraska; her 15 grandchildren: Sharon, Victoria, Jordan, Amanda, Dakota, Jake, Alencia, Haylee, Alexander, Gabe, Ethan, Jeremiah, Brenna, KateLynn, and Kaylee; three great-grandchildren: James, Nathaneil, and Lilly; two brothers: Steve Bales and his wife, Denise of McCook; and Tom Bales and his wife, Shelia of Nebraska City, Nebraska; step-mom, Carla Bales of Lincoln, Nebraska; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
