4853 | Also known as Jacob Drullinger, originally his wife was Nancy Barkalow per phone call from Hamilton County Ohio Gen Soc secretary. However on examination of the marriage entry original the wife's name was Jane Martin. I am guessing that Jane's middle name was Rebecca but no evidence to support this found to date. The spelling errors make this a very hard man to trace and coupled with the loss of early records make it a nightmare. GLD 2012 I am now most convinced that Jacob Drollinger (1792-1876 ) married to Ann Mason are the very probable parents of William (born abt 1816 OH) for the following reasons: 1) The 1850 Census lists Ohio as the birthplace of William. Jacob Drollinger was living in Butler County, Ohio at the time. 2) One of Jacob's son, Ambrose (b 1817) went by the 'Drullinger' spelling. 3) William's birth date of 1816 could easily place him as the first child of Jacob and Ann who were married in 1815. 4) William could easily be named after Jacob's younger brother, William who died as an infant. 5) William's only known daughter was named Nancy which means she could have been named after his presumed mother, Nancy. 6) Jacob died in Montgomery County, IN. William's son was born in adjacent Fountain County, IN proving they lived close to each other in IN. (David H. Drollinger 21 Apr 2012) Because Walter was married in the same county as the one Jacob Drollinger died in during a time frame that would be compatible with making him eligible as a child of theirs, I suspect Walter L. Drollinger could be the probable son of Jacob and Sarah Drollinger. If this proves to be correct, then his record needs to be connected to theirs. 4866 | Altana does appear to be a name that was used back in the 1800s. There is even an Altana nee Catlin-Sweetland (1802-1851) who was married to Joel Sweetland (1899-1875). They are buried in Farewell Retreat Cemetery in Republic, Seneca County, Ohio. It appears that Rose chose to go by her first name in her adult years. 1900 Census Name Rosa A Shultz Sex Female Age 41 years Birth Date February 1859 Birthplace Indiana Marital Status Married Race White Number of Living Children 1 Years Married 17 Number of Children 4 Relationship to Head of Household Wife Father's Birthplace New York Mother's Birthplace Indiana Event Type Census Event Date 1900 Event Place South Bend, St. Joseph, Indiana, United States Household Identifier 265 Line Number 33 Sheet Letter A Sheet Number 12 Affiliate Publication Number T623 Affiliate Name The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Rosa A Shultz's Spouses and Children August H Shultz Husband M 42 years Indiana Name August H Shultz Sex Male Age 42 years Birth Date April 1858 Birthplace Indiana Marital Status Married Race White Years Married 17 Relationship to Head of Household Head Father's Birthplace Germany Mother's Birthplace Germany Event Type Census Event Date 1900 Event Place South Bend, St. Joseph, Indiana, United States Household Identifier 265 Line Number 33 Sheet Letter A Sheet Number 12 Affiliate Publication Number T623 Affiliate Name The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Grace B Shultz Daughter F 17 years Indiana 1910 Census Name Rose G Shultz Sex Female Age 51 years Birth Year (Estimated) 1859 Birthplace Indiana Marital Status Married Race White Relationship to Head of Household Wife Father's Birthplace New York Mother's Birthplace Indiana Event Type Census Event Date 1910 Event Place Michigan City, LaPorte, Indiana, United States Sheet Letter A Sheet Number 12 Affiliate Publication Number T624 Affiliate Name The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Rose G Shultz's Spouses and Children August H Shultz Husband M 51 years Indiana Grace B Shultz Daughter F 26 years Indiana 1920 Census Name Rose Schultz Sex Female Age 60 years Birth Year (Estimated) 1860 Birthplace Indiana Marital Status Married Race White Relationship to Head of Household Wife Father's Birthplace New York Mother's Birthplace Indiana Event Type Census Event Date 1920 Event Place South Bend, St. Joseph, Indiana, United States Household Identifier 249 Line Number 35 Sheet Letter A Sheet Number 10 Affiliate Publication Number T625 Affiliate Name The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Rose Schultz's Spouses and Children August H Schultz Husband Name August H Schultz Sex Male Age 60 years Birth Year (Estimated) 1860 Birthplace Indiana Marital Status Married Race White Relationship to Head of Household Head Father's Birthplace Germany Mother's Birthplace Germany Event Type Census Event Date 1920 Event Place South Bend, St. Joseph, Indiana, United States Household Identifier 249 Line Number 35 Sheet Letter A Sheet Number 10 Affiliate Publication Number T625 Affiliate Name The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) | Sweetland, Rose Altana (I17571)
