Thanks for this short bit from a news paper because it confirms what I have been tracing for several weeks trying to prove that George Belden was Celia's Drollinger brother, but first let me backup ... Several years back, a Belden cousin, grandson of Ira Belden aka Grover Drollinger, ask me to get Celia Drollinger's Texas Certificate of Death to determine where she was born and who her parents were but I just had not had the time to travel to Houston and stand in line to get it. Well, about 6 weeks ago, this data was put on line through Acenstry.com and I came across it. At the time of her death, she was spending her winter with my grandfather in Houston and he did not have or couldn't supply the Harris County Vital Statistics this information on his mother. So I got to digging around and was able to track Celia through her brother back to Elkhart County Indiana in the 1860 census. Her mother, Mary A Belden, appears to be a widow because she is the Head of Household listing both George and Celia in the household. By 1870, Mary A Belden had remarried to a Isaac Frank and had two more children; Charles and Lilly Frank. Some time after the 1870 census and before Jan 1876, the Franks family moved to Roann Indiana where Celia Augusta Belden married Martin Van Buren Drollinger in January of 1876. All the census records on Mary A Belden Frank, show her son George living with her and his job description is laborer. After his mothers death on Aug 1, 1904 in North Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana, George moved in with his step-sister, Lilly Frank Long, wife of Henry Long. Both George's step-sister and step-brother lived around Hoover Indiana and died there. The records show that Mary A Belden Frank hada total of 9 children and that only George and Celia Belden and Charles and Lilly Frank survived to adulthood. I have acquired all the obits but Lilly Long on the family and it still does not give me insight to what Mary A Belden Frank's maiden name was nor what Belden she was married too. AS to Celia Belden Drollinger, I am not sure where she was born, but the records at Lindenwood Cemetery says that she was born in New Haven, Indiana (small town outside of Ft. Wayne Indiana but an on site search of historical records of the town at the time of Celia's birth, did not even list a Belden being in the town). What your newspaper clip shows, that Celia Drollinger is visiting her brother and half-sister. It show interact with her siblings which I had not been able to find before. Thanks. If you come across any more records on her, please forward them and if you find her parent's names, boy that would be great. I hope this helps, Ben | Belden, Celia Augusta (I2892)

My Ggrandfather, John Marcus Trollinger was born in Greenville, NC in 1865 ... although his younger and older siblings were born inSpartanburg Co. and his family lived in Spartanburg Co., SC from 1800 until sometime before the 1880 Census which found them just across the Georgia line in Franklin Co., GA in His father, Albert Bomar Trollinger lived in Spartanburg Co and is recorded as Bomar Trollinger (aged 14) in the 1860 Census as living with James & Hulda (Trollinger) Morrison. On his sister's death certificate, their mother's maiden name is shown as Trollinger. Sometime after 1860, he assumed the name Albert Bomar Trollinger which name he bore until his death after the 1900 Fulton Co., GA census. I theorize he did that for one of several reasons: 1) he was illegitmate and assumed his mother's name after leaving his stepfather's household; or 2) he ran afoul of the law and assumed her maiden name as an alias; or 3) he was not illegitimate, but used his mother's second or common-law husband's name temporarily to avoid reproach divorce, parentage, or abandonment. Any ideas or connections??? My basic problem is who was his father, what was his mother's maiden name, & who were his grandparents. Further, Bomar could have been either the son or grandson of Samuel Trollinger of Spartanburg Co., SC of whom other records (marriage, probate, etc. ) exist. 5393 | Ancestry.com Narrow by Collection All Categories: Stories, Memories & Histories.Social & Place Histories.Utah Since Statehood, Volumes 1-4 All Utah Since Statehood, Volumes 1-4 results for Drollinger About Utah Since Statehood, Volumes 1-4 A history of the state of Utah from before the pioneer settlements until the end of the 19th century. Lewis L. Hains, well known as an automobile dealer of Ogden, conducting business under the name of the Ogden Motor Car Company, was born in Perrysville, Indiana, February 24, 1878, a son of Samuel and Rose E. (Drollinger) Hains, who were also natives of the Hoosier state. The father was of English lineage and devoted his life to the occupation of farming, thus providing for the support of his family. He carefully cultivated and improved his fields throughout his entire life and passed away in Indiana in 1891. His widow survives and yet occupies the old home place. Spending his youthful days under the parental roof, Lewis L. Hains attended the public schools of Perrysville until he completed the high school course as a member of the class of 1895. He made his initial step in the business world as a clerk in a general merchandise store, in which he continued for two years and then went to Topeka, Kansas, where he remained until his removal to Utah. On reaching this state he settled at Sandy, where he spent a year and a half, and later engaged in railway work at Milford and Frisco, Utah, and at Nampa and St. Anthony, Idaho. He was with the Oregon Short Line as station master and operator, devoting the years from 1896 until 1905 to railroad service. He afterward occupied various positions until 1907, when he became connected with Tom Botterill of Salt Lake in the automobile business. He came to Ogden in March, 1915, at which time he established the business that has since been conducted under the name of the Ogden Motor Car Company. He is today a prominent figure in automobile circles and is conducting a large and important business, handling the Hudson, the Essex and the Chevrolet cars, and in connection with his sales department he maintains a splendid service, storage and repair department. He has extensive and well appointed showrooms and has been very successful in the conduct of the various branches of his business, which is located at Nos. 2345 to 2355 Hudson avenue. Moreover, he maintains a wonderful record as a driver of motor cars. He drove in a transcontinental trip and covered the distance in five days, three hours and thirty-one minutes in a Hudson Super Six car. Mr. Hains, because of his long experience in connection with motor interests, is able to speak with authority upon matters relative to the value, durability and upkeep of motor cars and all questions concerning motor transportation. In 1900 Mr. Hains was married to Miss Sarah Dunn, of Frisco, Utah, a daughter of Joseph W. Dunn, and to them have been born four children: Lewis LeRoy, eighteen years of age; Cleve D., a lad of fifteen; Ben B., twelve years of age; and Rose L., a little maiden of seven summers. Mr. and Mrs. Hains are widely known in Ogden, where they have gained an extensive circle of warm friends during the period of their residence. Utah Since Statehood: Historical and Biographical.
