7852 | Bobbie Lee McCleary, son of Troy James and Venice Leola Stigall McCleary, was born January 20, 1935, near Hartville, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, March 3, 2004, in his home, near Hartville, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, one month, and thirteen days. On September 26, 1971, he was united in marriage to Ellen Joyce Trollinger, and together they shared the last thirty-two years. His father, and a son, Tommy McCleary, preceded him in death. Bobbie is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Robert McCleary, and his wife, Donna, of San Diego, California, and Chad McCleary, and his wife, Donna, of Jonesburg, Missouri; three daughters, Cindy Matthieson, and Kathy Moretto, both of San Diego, California, and Shanna Stark, and her husband, Jeff, of Springfield, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Christopher, Justin, Michael, Brittany, Ashley, A.J., Nicholas, Angie, Tommy, Ray, Adam, Chase, Joseph, and McCleary Rose; four great-grandchildren, Brenden, Mystery, Jasmine and Sernina; his mother, Venice McCleary, of Hartville, Missouri; a brother, Donald McCleary, of Kansas City, Kansas; three sisters, Ima Faye Gammon, of Nevada, Missouri, Annabelle Cantrell, of Niangua, Missouri, and Mary Pedersen, of Hartville, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. He was born near Hartville, Missouri, in the Coon Creek community. At the age of 18 months, he moved with his family to Idaho, where they lived until Bobbie was ten years old. They then returned to the family farm in Wright County, Missouri. Bobbie served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1958. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he made his home in California for several years, and began working as a heavy equipment operator and foreman for a construction company. While on a job in Arizona, Bobbie met Joyce and they were soon married. They made their home in California for a few years, and then in 1978, decided to return to the family farm in Missouri, where they physically built their home themselves. Bobbie had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Green Valley Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and doing woodworking projects. He was a loving family man and especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He also liked visiting with his neighbors and friends. Bobbie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and cherish the memories he created for us. Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 6, 2004, in the Greene Valley Baptist Church, Northeast of Hartville. Burial will be in Coon Creek Cemetery. Bob attended Central High School and joined the Marines at the age of 17 serving on the Pacific islands & receiving an honorable discharge in 1949. After his service in the Marines, Bob returned to OKC & built houses with his Dad. In 1950, Bob married Patsy Winifred McClenahan. Even though Bob was the warehouse & assembly manager at Ewing Mfg. Co. for 32 years supervising the manufacturing of high pressure washers & steam cleaners, his passion was for racing cars. He pursued his love for racing & traveled the country with family & longtime friends, Jerry Maxwell & Jimmy Hawkins, participating in the sport. Since 1960, Bob has been a partner in Carter-Maxwell Auto Service, which later developed into a major Goodyear racing tire distributorship. Bob also owned & operated Carter's House of Lights for 5 years. Bob is survived by his wife Pat of 57 years; daughter, Debby & John Letham; son, Robby Carter & Rhonda McMurtrey; grandchildren, Dede Beckelheimer, Richenda Carter, Lindsey Carter, & Kaitlyn Carter; sister, Billie & Carl Gardner; sister-in-law, Juanita & Lem Apala; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 nephews; & 3 nieces. Born October 28, 1931 to the proud parents of Annie Elva Storrs and Carl Odell "Bill" Batten; Bobby grew up in Hollis Oklahoma. He was the eldest of six siblings: Darrell Odell Batten, Willie Alva "Buz" Batten, Jerry Don Batten, Donna Kay Batten Hamilton, Jimmy Dale Batten, and Sherry Lou Batten Bonner. Bobby loved to hunt and fish with his cousins, uncles, and friends. After high school Bobby joined the Army National Guard, combat engineers; he served in Korea and was awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart during his service. After leaving the Army Bobby Moved to Tulsa Oklahoma and in 1957 he met and married Betty Clair Teel. They raised four children: Cynthia Fay Batten Dunham, Teresa Ann Batten, Bobby Wayne Batten II, and Billy Carl Batten. Bobby worked for Sinclair Oil Company and then subsequently for Atlantic Richfield Oil Company. In 1972 Bobby become self-employed in the oil and gas distribution business. In 1979 Bobby moved to Oklahoma City Oklahoma to eventually become the owner/operator of Paul Penley Oil Company where he worked until he retired in the year 2000. Upon retirement Bobby liked to fish and spend time with his family. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren: Christopher John Dunham, Shelby Nicole Dunham, and Lanie Ann Batten-Goodman. He also thought the world of all the in-laws John Dunham; Lisa Goodman; Pamela Batten; Brittany Dunham; Bryce Wallar and Kyle Titsworth. She graduated from Madelia High School in 1953 and attended school in Mankato. Bonnie was united in marriage to Irvin "Luben" Byro on June 25, 1955. The couple had 5 sons: David, Michael, Richard, Douglas and Thomas. Throughout her life, Bonnie worked in various places, including her own Cotttonwood Crafts in Searles where she enjoyed working on many craft projects. She and Luben farmed until 1990 but Bonnie spent most of her life caring for their 5 sons and her beloved grandchildren. Bonnie loved flowers, she was a member of the Madelia Garden Club, she played cards with the ladies in her Card Club and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia. Bonnie Maxine Byro, age 82, of Madelia, MN died on November 15, 2017, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia. Bonnie Jean Druliner Farnham went home to be with her Lord Sunday, March 3, 2013. She passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was 86. Bonnie was born in Myrtle Point, Oregon on May 27, 1926 to Harry and Mable Druliner. She grew up on a homestead with her parents, 2 sisters, Bettye Magee, Patty Cox, and her 5 brothers, Don, Deward, DeLoss, Dale and Doug Druliner. Bonnie met Waldo Farnham in 1964 and a year later on September 3, 1965 they were married. Family was Bonnie's true passion. She and Waldo, her husband of 47 years, have 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Nothing gave her more joy than to have her family around her. Most importantly, Bonnie had a faith in God that was inspiring. She never wavered in her love for Him. It was this Love that inspired her to open Mac Christian Supply that she ran for several years. She also enjoyed doing a variety of crafts including stained glass, ceramics, sewing, knitting and baking. Bonnie took great pleasure in putting her personal touches to our home. 7898 | BOONEVILLE - Marvin James Trollinger, 101, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness. He was born Feb. 21, 1901, in Tishomingo County to the late Lem and Julia O'Neal Trollinger. He was a retired farmer and after retirement did yard work for the public on his tractor for over 20 years. He was a member of the North Rienzi Church of Christ for 80 years and served there as an Elder for over 40 years. He was married to Mable Henry Trollinger for over 45 years; she died in 1973. He loved his family and working with the church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion Rest Church of Christ with Bro. Gene Thornton and Bro. Steve Pope officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Salt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Pauline DeCicco and her husband, Phil, of Warrington, Pa.; three sons, Doyle Trollinger and his wife, Dons, of Booneville, Gilbert Trollinger and his wife, Wanda, of Judsonsia, Ark., and Gene Trollinger and his wife, Faye, of Rienzi; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
