He was born Oct. 4, 1923 in Veedersburg to Clifford R. and Laura JaneKiger Craig. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister,Doris Grubb.
He married Joyce E. Wiggins June 11, 1946, in Port Neches, Texas. Shesurvives. Also surviving are two daughters, Laurie (R.G.) Phillips ofEarl Park, Indiana and Lejuana (Rick) Ragsdale of Crawfordsville; twograndsons and two great-granddaughters.
He was a military veteran.

Oct. 4, 1923-Jan. 9, 2012: Wesley R. ?Sandy? Craig of Crawfordsville, and formerly of Veedersburg, died at 9:35 p.m. Monday at Williamsburg Healthcare at Crawfordsville. He was 88. Mr. Craig was employed as a machinist for many years at Olin & Flexel near Covington.
He graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1942 and attended Lamar College at Beaumont, Texas. He attained the rank of staff sergeant in the Army and served with an anti-aircraft battalion during both World War II in the European Theater and the Korean War. During his enlistment he was also an instructor of anti-aircraft gun mechanics at Fort Bliss, Texas, and was voted best instructor by the West Point Cadets. He was a 60-year member of American Legion at Post 288 in Veedersburg and recently Post 72 in Crawfordsville. He was born Oct. 4, 1923, at Veedersburg, to Clifford R and Laura Jane (Kiger) Craig. He married Joyce E. Wiggins on June 11, 1946, at Port Neches, Texas. Survivors include: his wife Joyce Craig of Crawfordsville; daughters Laurie (R.G.) Phillips of Earl Park and Lejuana (Rick) Ragsdale of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Sister Doris Grubb is deceased. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at the d?Arlier Cultural Center, 405 N. Mill St., Veedersburg, with Pastor Tony King officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. Saturday and continue until time of service. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 288. Cremation was chosen. Burial will be on their property in Texas. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Fowler Baptist Church or Veedersburg Public Library.
