- MEBANE, N.C. - Mr. Phillip Wayne Faucette Sr., 70, of Mebane, died July 12, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Alamance County. He was a truck driver for 50 years, retiring from Donald A. Smith Trucking Co. Phillip was a happy man that never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Andra Hawkes Faucette, of the home; daughter, Samantha Faucette Bryson (David) of Burlington; sons, Phillip W. "Speedy" Faucette Jr. (Sharon) and John Thomas "Tommy" Faucette (Lucy), all of Mebane; grandchildren, Dustin J. Foster (Ashley), Matthew H. Foster, Selena M. Faucette, John T. Faucette Jr., Haley Ann Faucette and Christopher O. Faucette; brother, Melvin Faucette (Helen) and Steve Faucette; and sister, Martha Shropshire (Bernice).
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carl and Dorothy Webster Faucette; and brother, James W. Faucette.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane by the Rev. Dan Ficklin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
