Notes - Among your family member K-State alums are my cousins Dick and Bill Poovey (my Aunt Ethel Green-Poovey?s sons), and their father Waldo Poovey was also a K-State graduate. I believe that Dick?s daughter Delane Sue Poovey-Janssen is also a K-State graduate but I am not 100% sure of that? I went to the University of Oklahoma (June 1965 to May 1969) and my Mother got her Masters Degree from OU back in 1967. In other words, NO I never attended K-State. I have been on its campus a few times when I was at Fort Riley, but I have never studied there. I went to Wichita State University (August 1973 to May 1975) to attend ROTC and was commissioned in the Regular Army as an Infantry 2LT after Summer Camp at Fort Riley (19 July 1974). The Summer before I had been an Infantry SSG at Fort Riley.
