Dobson, 74, passed away at 7:10 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Healthwin Specialized Care of South Bend. Tom was born on December 9, 1939, in Paducah, Texas, to the late Johnny E. and Frances Willina (Wimberly) Dobson, and had resided in the South Bend area since 1988, coming from New Jersey. On June 17, 1972, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, he was united in marriage to Jerilyn M. (Scherich) Dobson. For the past 17 years, Tom was the owner and President of Corporate Empowerment, a Managerial Consulting Forum. He worked for over 30 years as a Pharmacist in Elkhart and St. Joseph County. He also served in management positions with Eli Lily Pharmaceutical Company, Pharmacia, and Service Master. Tom was very active in the local Business Networking Events. He was a graduate of the University of Colorado. Tom attended Coalbush United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, and previously attended First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Jerilyn of South Bend; and brother, Daniel R. (Kim) Dobson of Ogallala, Nebraska. Memorial services for Tom will be 5:00 PM Monday, November 10, 2014, at Palmer Funeral Home River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615, with two hours of visitation prior to services at the funeral home. Following the service, friends are invited to meet with the family at First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544 for dinner (6:00 8:00 PM). Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311; or the National Kidney Foundation, 911 E. 86th Street, Suite100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
