  	James R. (Jim) Trollinger, of Roanoke, Va., died at his home on October 3, 2010, following a period of declining health. Born on May 29, 1928, in Haw River, N.C., he was the son of the late John W. and Virginia Russell Trollinger. He was a retired long distance truck driver, having spent much of his career with Hennis Freight Lines. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and of Huntington Court United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gladys W. Trollinger; one son, Richard (Patsi) of Danville, Ky.; two daughters, Brenda Canney, of Roanoke, Va., and Kate (Sidney) Redford, of Roanoke, Va.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Rich, of Graham N.C.; and a sister-in-law, Hilda (Gordon) Edwards, of Haw River, N.C. He was preceded in death by a son, Marvin R. Trollinger Sr.; and a grandson, Marvin R. "Rusty" Trollinger II. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, N.C. A Funeral Service with the Rev. James L. Rosser presiding, will be held in the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, N.C., 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
