Notes - Phillip was an early settler between Cumpton and Paint Creeks in Fayette Co. OH. He opened the first blacksmith shop and also farmed. Found in 1840 Census for Marion Twp., Fayette Co., Ohio, living next door to parents and brother John P.. Phillip is 30-40 yrs old and living with old lady 70-80. Not clear who this lady is or where is his wife and small child (Margaret). Other siblings had already moved to Kosciusko Co., Indiana.
