Notes - Regarding your questions
1. Francis Monroe - this is what one of my wife's aunts (who will be 90 next
year) wrote sometime between 1978 and 1985:
"Grandmother Annetta died December 6, 1921 at the age of 50. I was nine
and a half at the time. This was my first agonizing experience with a death
in the family. We all missed her terribly for a long time.
Grandpa Trullinger died after a long illness at our home in Wells County,
on July 19, 1931. He was the last of our grandparents. A chapter of our life
was finished and we were all aware that someone special and irreplaceable was
gone from our world forever.
These are my own memories and impressions and mine alone.
Maude Aljets Clark"
My wife lived within a couple of miles of that house (the home of George and
Laura Mabel [Trullinger] Aljets [known as Mabel] ) until she was about 12
years old. So I believe what my wife's aunt, George Monroe's granddaughter,
wrote.
2. Laura Mabel Trullinger Aljets - I have a "Family Pedigree Chart" in front
of me that I started some of my genealogy work from. It tells me that Laura
Mabel Trullinger died in Carrington, ND on 23 Jan 1952. My wife was either a
junior or senior attending Carrington ND High School at the time - she
remembers attending the funeral.
3. re Curtis A. as married about 1912 - A probable goof on my part. I'm
checking with descendants to get dates to the day for this line of the
family. When I have updates, I'll get them to you. As of now, I'm saying
that Curtis was married "before 1910" since the 1910 Census record was pretty
specific and my wife tells me that the Trullingers and Aljets in Carrington
[as well as the School Board and Sup't] were quite straight laced.
Sincerely,
Bob Soli
