She was born in Benkelman, NB and had lived in Riverside, CA for 57 years. At age 18, Elaine left Nebraska to attend college in Greeley, CO. Then she taught in Lancaster, CA (1 yr) before serving in the American Red Cross (3 yrs) in England during WWII. While serving in the Red Cross in Vienna, Austria, she met her future husband, Army Captain, Stanley S. Ehresmann. As a military wife, Elaine lived in Texas, Germany, and New Jersey. She taught English and Drama at University Heights Jr. High (12 yrs) and English at John W. North H.S. (15 yrs). She was Chair of Voice of Democracy at Arlington VFW Post #9223 for many years and President of VFW District #23 in 1989. Elaine is survived by her husband Stanley S. Ehresmann; daughters Aurelee Kollmeyer, Beverly Ehresmann-Kamper, Pamela Ehresmann-Shea; sons Glenn R. Ehresmann, M.D. and Stan L. Ehresmann; sister Shirley O'Connor; brother Jerome Druliner; caregivers Jefrey Reotutar, Bong Borbe and Reny Mendoza; 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11:45am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA. Please be at Staging Area #4 by 11:30 a.m. Celebration of Life Lunch Buffet will follow from 1-3pm at VFW Post #10267, 8607 Mission Blvd., Riverside, CA with dessert from 6-11pm at the Marriott Riverside, 3400 Market St., Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Elaine Ehresmann to the Office of Development, Doheny Eye Institute, 1450 San Pablo St., DEI-3050, Los Angeles, CA 90033.

Notes - Elaine Mae Druliner Ehresmann born August 8 1919 died May 11, 2013(we are all very sad) She married Stanley S. Ehresmann whose mother's first name was Edna. Stan and Elaine have four children: Glenn Richard who married Eva (Swedish native) they have two children: Justin and Sonya. Beverly Ann (March 1951) married Brian Kamper, they have no children. Pamela married to Steve Shea, no children. Stan Lee, married to Debbie, they have one children, Aaron.
