Laura M. Stewart, 73, of Arlington Heights, Ill., formerly of Fort Madison, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at her home.
Born Aug. 5, 1932, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Pearl and Maude Harris Drollinger. On July 25, 1953, she married Philip N. Stewart in Denver. He died April 13, 1986.
Mrs. Stewart retired from the Chevron Chemical Co.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Stewart of Arlington Heights and Daniel Stewart of Fort Madison; one daughter, Sherri Breckenfelder of St. Charles, Ill.; four granddaughters; one brother, Billie Drollinger of Fort Madison; and one sister, Donna Bender of Jacksonville, Fla.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Stewart's body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison with the Rev. Daniel Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Soldiers Circle of Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.
