Rainey was bornin 1866 and married Ada Ethel Trullinger on October16,1898, she survived him in death. He came to Oregon in 1875 from Blue Earth County, Minn. and for the last 16 years has resided in LaFayette.In1894 he became a member of IOOF Santiam Lodge and recently was given his 50 year jewel. He is survived by one son, John Leroy Rainey of Portland; two daughters, Ethel Lillian Becker of San Carlos, Cal. and Lura Pearl Myers of Portland; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
