  	DECATUR -- LaVada Abrams Hoxie, 94, of Decatur passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Newell Funeral Home, Decatur, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Virginia Heller will officiate. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to Van Buren Youth Camp or Keeler United Methodist Church. LaVada was born July 6, 1908, in Hartford, the daughter of Charles and Mae (Hover) Drullinger. She was a member of Keeler United Methodist Church, Keeler Thursday Club, Farm Bureau, Order of Eastern Star, New Star Chapter No. 333 of Decatur and a charter member of the Van Buren Youth Camp. Survivors include: two sons -- Charles (Barbara) Abrams of Coloma and James (Mary) Abrams of Three Rivers; two stepdaughters -- Marjorie Camp of Springfield, Ill., and Dawnita Bunnell of Grand Rapids; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Maurice Abrams and William Hoxie; and a brother, Lowell Drullinger.
