Martha Ellen, second daughter of Joseph Lewis and Caroline Smith, was born July 31, 1875, at Richland County, Wisconsin. She came to Iowa with her parents when about one year old and they located near West Chester and a few years later on a farm just east of Keota, where she grew to womanhood. On February 23, 1893, she was united in marriage to Lewis Orr Weekly, son of Solomon and Minnie Weekly. To this union six children were born: Howard Douglas, Edna Blanch, Ethel May, Belva Verne, and twins--Mildred Naomi and Minnie Kersola. In 1909 Mr. and Mrs. Weekly moved to South Dakota with their family, where they lived until the year 1934 when they moved to Coram, Montana. In 1938 they came to Kalispell where they have lived since that time. Mrs. Weekly passed away last Friday morning after a brief illness.
