- Ronald Jay Leming, 78 years old, was called home to be with his Savior and to join his beloved wife of 58 years, Janess and his first born son, Ronnie. Ron was born on July 27, 1943 to William and Betty Leming in Marion where he would eventually meet and marry Janess Drollinger and raise their family.
Ron worked at I&M (AEP) for 44 years, retiring in 2006. he was a man of many talents that included: wood working, farming, water skiing, and camping. He also cared for his beloved horses and enjoyed horse shows and activities (riding and driving). He always had a smile on his face.
Ron and Janess enjoyed many summers after retirement camping in their R.V. with their beloved dog, Jesse, on Pine Lake in Warsaw.
Ron is survived by his children, Steve (Michele) Leming of Gas City and Sheryl (Gery) Loftis of Upland; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren; his beloved horse, Miss Libby; and his dog, Annie.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Leming; his wife, Janess; son, Ronald E. Leming; in-laws, Jasper and Josephine "Dixie" Drollinger; and various extended family members.
The family would like to give thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice, especially, Tabatha Ploger, Laura Jones, Kim, Dr. David Sedaghat, M.D., and our family and friends for all the many prayers.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Center Chapel 8733 E. 200 S. Marion, IN 46953.
Immediately following the service, the family will receive visitors until 4 pm at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center Chapel, 8733 E. 200 S., Marion, IN 46953.
