NARROWSBURG, NY - Though it was a bitter-cold morning outside, warm, helping hands were busy inside St. Francis Xavier Parish on December 20, just before 25 local families received complete Christmas dinners.
Volunteers of the Narrowsburg Ecumenical Food Pantry gathered one last time inside the church, checking each of 25 decorated boxes stuffed with holiday groceries for families living within a 15-mile radius of Narrowsburg.
Barbara Drollinger of St. Francis started the pantry almost four years ago by gathering volunteers from her church, St. Paul?s Lutheran Church and Narrowsburg United Methodist Church.
