John `Bud' Skadan
Bellevue, Wash.
Memorial service for John Wesley "Bud" Skadan, 80, will be at 1 p.m.Dec. 9 at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Wiggen and Son Funeral Home in Seattle is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Skadan, who was born in Spokane, died Saturday.
He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and served in the Army in Europe during World War II.
He married Virginia Drollinger in 1948. She died in 1970. Mr. Skadan married Janet Lawlor in 1973.
He was vice president of Acme Concrete Co. and retired in 1981.
Mr. Skadan moved to Bellevue a couple of years ago.
He served on boards for Cheney Cowles Museum, the Bank of Spokane, the Spokane Club and Wampum. He also served on the Spokane County Planning Commission. He was past president of the Spokane Symphony, the Washington State Ready Mix Association and the Hayden Lake (Idaho)Country Club.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, John Skadan of Liberty Lake,Rick Skadan of Edmonds, Wash., and Jim Skadan of Seattle; two stepdaughters, Janet Huguen in of Bellevue and Susan Bohman of Redmond,Wash.; a sister, Beverly Skadan of Spokane; and eight grandchildren.
