Their son, Minos Trolinger; His death record shows his mother as Susie Smith and father Thomas Trolinger. Source, Tennessee, Death and Burials Index, 1874-1955. His mother's maiden name is Smith. I have another entry showing that her mother was Elizabeth Smith, but failed to show a source. It is interesting to note that they list his name as, Missouri Cannon Trolinger. All other records that I have viewed list him as Minos, Minus, Minas. His Occupation: Supt, floor cleaning. They list his birth, 29 Mar 1855, TN. His death 14 jul 1911, Nashville, Davidson, Tn. Cemetery, Spring Hill. Another source, Tennessee, Death records, 1908-1958 record for Minus Trolinger, #15757, appears that the school district submitted the form. Which falls into place that he was a janitor for the district, and maybe held other positions related to that line of work.
The 1880 US Census shows Minos married to Emma, with one child, Clara, who is one year old. It also lists a female by the name of Ann Eliza Watts, but doesn't identify her connection to Thomas as the head. It could be Emma's mother. They list her has being 44 years old, and Emma is 18 years old. All other records spell Emma's maiden name, Walls. This needs further research.
The 1900 US Census shows Minus married to Mary L, and 3 children listed. They are Clara, Susie, and Errin, or it should be Ervin. According to the Tennessee State Mariages, 1780-2002 record, M C Trolinger and Mary L Neville were married 19 Sept 1887, Marshal Co. TN. One would deduct that Clara, Sue, and Julia were Emma's children by Thomas. They were born before 1887. However, I believe that Ervin Frierson Trolinger's mother is Mary Lewis Nevill. The 1910 US Census lists 1 of 1 children for Mary. The Tennessee, Deaths and Burials Index, 1874-1955, shows Mary Lewis Nevill birth as 19 Jan 1871, Tn. Her death date is 19 Feb 1938 Nashville, Davidson, Tn. Burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. It lists her spouse as Minos Trolinger.
