  MADISON COUNTY ARKANSAS MUSINGS, Summer 1988 William Perry Trolinger was born 17 February 1824, near Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee. He was a carpenter, mechanic and a farmer. He played the fiddle for pastime. On 1 June 1846, William joined Captain Edmund Frieson's K Company First Regiment Tennessee Volunteers. He was discharged 8 September 1846 near Chaniargo Mexico. In the late fall of 1850 William moved his family to Madison County Arkansas. He applied for and received a land warrant of 160 acres. Pension application of 2 March 1907 William P. Trolinger, 83 years of age, a resident of Hindsville, Madison, Arkansas. Personal description at enlistment was as follows: 5 feet 5 inches; complexion fair; color of eyes blue; color of hair light; occupation mechanic and farmer.
