- Gary Lynn Carpenter died September 19, 1992.
Born October 8, 1946 in Osgood, Idaho to Verl H. and Colleen Drollinger Carpenter. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served an LDS mission in Atlanta, Georgia from 1965 to 1967. Married Bonnie Mathews on February 12, 1968; later divorced. On June 24, 1988, he married Betty Kay Jepson.
Survivors include: His wife, Betty; and her six children, Brad, Jessica, Loralee, Ryan, Valerie, and Richard; his five sons, Chad, Wendover; Brady, serving a mission in the Dominican Republic; and Tyson, Dallin and Oakly, of Tooele; his parents, Verl and Colleen Carpenter, Idaho Falls, Idaho; four sisters, Mrs. Blair (Marian) Elkington, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Tom (Jan) Divine, Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. Dale (Julie) Maughan, Provo; Beverly Hansen, Idaho Falls, Idaho; and two brothers, Val and Ryan Carpenter, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandfather, G. Lorin Carpenter, Pocatello, Idaho. Preceded in death by a brother, Donny Jay, and a daughter, April.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 1992 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kearns Thirtieth Ward Chapel, 4260 West Sams Boulevard (5215 South), Kearns, with Bishop Phillip Fielding officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, and one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
