Minnie Magee Bird

Minnie Magee Bird of Loveland, formerly of Boulder, died of naturalcauses Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at the Eden Valley Village AssistedLiving Facility in Loveland. She was 94.
The daughter of Madison Magee and Mabel Fleming Magee, she was bornOct. 2, 1910, in Mitchell, Neb. She married Leon Bird in 1937 inBoulder.
Mrs. Bird lived in Boulder from 1934 to 1943, and from 1953 to 1968.
She graduated from the Humboldt Academy in 1928, and completed nursingtraining at St. Helena Hospital, Angwin, Calif., in 1932.
Mrs. Bird worked at the Boulder Sanitarium and Hospital from 1935 to1938, the Loma Linda Sanitarium and Hospital in the early 1940s,Porter Sanitarium and Hospital from 1949 to 1951, and retired in 1993from the Eden Valley Village Assisted Living Facility.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Drollinger of Las Vegas, andEvelyn Kantymir of Cleveland, N.M.; a son, Robert Bird of Cleveland,N.M.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and twogreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Minta Farisand Elsie Miller.
Private services were held. Interment is at Eden Valley Village.

Minnie graduated from Pacific Union College (a Seventh Day Adventistcollege) in 1932.
